SODETE discusses: All-day school and family

Dear participants and interested people in the SODETE project,

over the past few months, many parents, teachers, school social workers, caregivers and local stakeholders have shared their experiences with us. We would like to build on this in various event formats and get into deeper discussions as well as take action. And we want to do this together with you!

To launch the first topic "All-day school and family", we are inviting parents to cafés at two elementary schools in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Under the title "All-day school and homework - how do they work together?", parents can discuss their experiences and wishes in an open setting.

In December, our SODETE workshop will take place with all stakeholders, to which we would like to sincerely invite you all!

SODETE – Workshop

"Help! All-day school and homework"

07.12.2023
16:00-18:30 Uhr
 Pädagogische Hochschule
Hauberweg 48, 73525 Schwäbisch Gmünd

It is not always easy to balance all-day school and homework. Parents, teachers and caregivers know this. Together with you, we would like to take a look at the topic of homework in the all-day school model. The purpose is to share and define problems, interests and perspectives. On this basis, concrete ideas for improvement and concepts can then be worked on in further events.

We offer on-site childcare for your children. And if you would like an interpreter, please get in touch with us.

We are looking forward to your participation!

What are living labs?

Living labs have become more important in transformation and sustainability development in the last few years. In living labs, different stakeholders from civil society and science work together on a topic and learn from each other. Concrete solution ideas will be developed and tested together.

SODETE decided on living labs in order to continue working with all participants on the knowledge gained from the research phase. For SODETE, the focus is on exchange, learning together, networking and developing future-oriented solutions for parental involvement.

In an open setting, new ideas and practices will be developed. Together we will also decide which of these ideas should be tested and realized.

What topics does SODETE work on in the living labs?

Based on the results of the one-year research phase, we were able to define a number of focus topics that we would like to work on together in more detail over the next two years as part of living labs:

Living Lab 1: All-day school and family (winter semester 2023/24)

Living Lab 2: Diversity in families and schools (summer semester 2024)

Living Lab 3: Parents' evening, parents' council and co. (winter semester 2024/25)

Living Lab 4: Parental involvement in Gmünd (summer semester 2025)

The living labs each include several different event formats and are planned dynamically. The next steps are defined on the basis of the collaboration and the results.
You can find more information and descriptions of the living lab topics on our homepage.

We wish you a pleasant fall season and look forward to seeing you again!
