Full-day school and homework are not always easy to combine and can also cause difficulties for parents. Who is responsible for this? The parents, the school, the after-school care? And what might be working better?
The SODETE Parent Café offers a space to discuss the topic in an open setting and to get into conversation with other parents. Our goal is to make sure that parents' voices get heard. The SODETE team that accompanies the parent café is excited to hear your experiences, perspectives and wishes!
Drinks and catering will be provided. We offer on-site childcare for your children. And if you would like to have an interpreter, please feel free to contact us.

What is SODETE?
SODETE is a research and practice project that deals with the issue of parental participation. Parental participation is the active involvement of parents, especially in schools. Types of participation are for example going to parent-teacher evenings, but also baking cakes for the school festival. SODETE wants to find out how parental participation can be improved. Many interviews and observations have already been realized for this purpose. Now the project started into the practical phase and wants to find and try out new ideas and concepts with parents and schools.
And what happens next?
On December 7, the second round starts! We will now exchange ideas on a larger scale and together with different actors from school and community and formulate perspectives, interests and problems together in a workshop. Whether or not you were at the Parents' Café is not relevant here, we are very happy to have your participation!
